Fred Sherwin, editor of Orléans Online, recently published two articles on the question of official bilingualism for the capital of  Canada, Francophone coalition calls for official recognition of city’s bilingual character, where he explains the evolution of the Movement for an officially bilingual capital of Canada and the legislative approach proposed by a group of francophone organizations, and  Time has come to recognize city’s bilingual reality, where he points out that it is a question of respect for our francophone population and that it would be a great way to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Confederation.
